You are registering for: Adult Workshop: Musical Theater Audition

Class Description
In this two-day workshop, you will learn how to navigate a musical theater audition by practicing techniques that connect your acting motivation to your voice, performing solos, receiving peer and instructor feedback and working with a choreographer to nail a dance call. There is no prerequisite, but participants should have a basic foundation in acting, singing and dancing.
What to prepare: Before the workshop, you must prepare and practice a contemporary musical theater cut of your choice (16–32 bars) that shares a story and highlights your voice. The selection may be acapella or use a music recording that you provide.
Insider tip: If you’re interested in learning how to audition on camera, check out The Self-Tape workshop taught by the Guthrie’s resident casting director.

Dates: Sundays, November 1 and 8 | 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Class Fee: $85 (plus a $3 handling fee)

You will receive additional information two weeks prior to the first class.
