Description

The Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is the "glue" that integrates acting, voice, speech and movement while holding to the conviction that we are designed to express an impulse with honesty. This psychophysical tool teaches you how to release habitual tension and bring ease, presence and choice to a performance. You’ll focus on the technique’s principles and learn the art of self-direction using warmup, monologues and partnering work. Beginners are welcome!

NOTE: This is a hands-on technique, so please come prepared to move. No sleeveless shirts, shorts or jeans, and we recommend layers if you run hot or cold. You are welcome to bring a yoga mat or towel for floor work.
Qualifications: No experience necessary.

Instructor: Eli Sibley
